A lovely church in the main castle square in Caernarfon, lovely architecture, and well worth a visit, if your in the area.
Today (Tuesday) me and Hubby were pleased to find that this Church was open to the public (it was closed the last time I reviewed it).I thought the decorative tiled floor in the porch was very pretty. We explored further and found an intricate cross-stitch of the last supper hanging on the wall.We also liked the colourful stained glass, the skilful woodwork and the arched timber ceiling. The main feature was an impressive organ which was installed in 1887 and contains 880 pipes (see photo).
The church is located in The Caernarfon town square near the castle. The church was closed the day we went but the outside is lovely and it has a war memorial at the front.
We just happened to be in Caernarfon and saw that this church was open to visitors. We were given a warm welcome and were offered tea or coffee. The organ was being played as we looked round. This was a Wednesday. I believe it is open on Wednesdays throughout the summer.
This rather large Church built in the Victorian era in the gothic style that they favoured is an imposing building standing in the square. I wish it had been open so I could have seen inside
